I thrive on connecting with people. I see how our behavior patterns and our beliefs often hold us back from living to the fullest. In my first career I was a dedicated Middle School science teacher. I wrote two science books that were published by Barron's. I created and facilitated teacher workshops in science, mentoring, and health. At some point, improving lives directly became more important to me than teaching the subject matter. In the transition to a career in coaching three plus years ago, the most challenging aspect of my training was letting go of having the answers! The client has his or her own answers. As a coach, my job is to help clients tap into their most creative and empowered selves. From there, their decisions and choices truly support their values and goals. Relationship coaching has its own set of skills. Here my job is to bring that which is hidden to the surface and to help a couple use their strengths to build partnership.

Key life experiences of mine include a season in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, living with and caring for children and teens in a shelter called Sok Sabay. With Cambodia still in reconstruction, most public services are operated by non-governmental organizations run by determined people with vision, heart, and long hours. They need support. People in professions devoted to helping others sometimes forget that overextending themselves robs the world of their full energy and spirit. Wherever I am, I am determined to assist those around me reach their fullest potential to create positive impact in the world
and to be happier as they do it.

I am a certified professional co-active coach, a member of the International Coach Federation and a certified yoga instructor. I received my coach training and certification from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and relationship systems training from the Center for Right Relationship (CRR). I am also a graduate of CTI's 10-month leadership program.

Integrity, discovery, contribution, and connection are my primary values. I have two terrific sons and a new granddaughter. Having fun and staying healthy are high personal priorities. I like to hike, bike, kayak, swim, and dance. I practice artistic roller skating and teach yoga in my home.
